Class will view the IPC ESD Video – 30 minutes.

Introduction to the tribo-electric table

Charging sources and potentials – High vs. low humidity environments

ESD vs. EOS (Electrical Overstress) Damage

Warning labels and the use thereof:

• Protective label
• Susceptibility label

Acceptable workstation configurations

Types of ESD protective materials:

• Static Dissipative
• Anti-Static
• Static Shielding

Proper use of protective materials

Testing Methodologies:

• Wrist and Heel Straps 
• Workstations
• Conductive Floors

Each student will be provided with a copy of the ESD Association Standard 20.20.
